Davis is such a phenomenal actress that it's tempting and easy to say that she's better than the material she's given here, but hopefully she can elevate the show around to her level.
The pilot is nerve-wrackingly frantic, but if anyone can make this flaming Paper Chase exciting, it's Lady Rhimes-a-lot.
Definitely and with a Viola Davis dedicated to the cause. If you care about law -- or even complex characters -- this isn't the show for you.
Filled with more twists than a bowl of fusilli With its quick-paced nature and multiple twists and reveals, we're left wondering if this new series will become our next Scandal-like obsession.
The filmmakers some Grey's alum have given us another winning factor: characters to either identify with or like. Davis, certainly delivers a quality performance.
Even if you never grooved on Scandal, I'd still recommend giving Murder a try; it's easily one of the fall season's more entertaining pilots, and Viola Davis simply kills it.
It's worth tuning in to see Davis display her versatility in the kind of multi-dimensional, non-stereotypical lead role she hasn't had an opportunity to play in movies.

I won't even go near how they portray the military, totally screw with how the uniforms look and how they show our tactics. Nowhere near the truth!
But I understand the writers are not military and there are too many little things under the hood for them to get everything right, as should lawyers when watching this show.
Watch an actual documentary on lawyers if that's what you're looking for, because this show would not have the high ratings if they showed that dull stuff.
This show is light on the legalese Law," but it has just enough legalese so the uninitiated stays interested, and enough excitement around the courtroom so you will love it.
The characters, the interaction between them and the plots work. Watch the first episode and if you aren't intrigued, then this obviously is not your genre.

Nate is subsequently offered a twenty million dollar settlement from the Attorney General for Nate Sr. To Annalise's surprise, Nate testifies on her behalf on the stand, though he commits perjury that Annalise did not frame him and instead reveals the FBI and AUSA's crimes, including covering up the murder of Asher Millstone.
